Plow Tracker
Plowtracker offers simple, web browsing functions such as zoom and pan. In addition to showing you where our plows are operating during the winter season, Plowtracker also allows the user to turn on other information such as the provincial winter maintenance service levels, access to the provincial highway cameras, and the ability to see where winter maintenance activities have taken place within the last 30, 60, and 90 minutes.
Nova Scotia Highway Camera's
Welcome to the highway camera site of the Nova Scotia Department of Transportation and Infrastructure Renewal. This site allows motorists to check out road and weather conditions on the Department's highway cameras. These cameras are located next to the highway at specific locations across the province.
Burn Safe
Nova Scotia
The 2018 fire-risk season has come to an end and you no longer need to check daily for permission to burn (domestic) brush or have a campfire. Although the season ended October 15th and you can burn without permission, fires can still escape your control if conditions are dry and windy. Always supervise your burning, have a water supply on site, and be careful where your burning takes place. The 2019 fire-risk season will start March 15th, 2019. Please check back daily then for permission to burn.
