On behalf of the membership of the Kentville Volunteer Fire Department (KVFD), I would like to welcome everyone to our new web site. The KVFD was established in 1888, we hope you enjoy what you see. The KVFD provides services to the Town of Kentville, Municipality of the County of Kings, and Mutual Aid to neighbouring fire departments.

Some members of the Kentville Fire Department are involved with specialty services with Wolfville Fire Dept., Canning Fire Dept., and New Minas Fire Dept. These services consist of Hazardous Materials Team, High Angle Rope Rescue, and a Cold Water Rescue Team.  

The Kentville Volunteer Fire Department responds to an average over 350 calls per year.  If you are ever in the Town of Kentville, please stop by and meet our friendly staff, explore our state-of-the-art equipment, and take a tour of the facility (which includes a museum).
